Which parking operations can I perform from outside my vehicle via the My BMW App?

With the "Remote Control Parking" function of the My BMW App, you can park your BMW and drive out of parking spaces remotely. The Parking Assistant automatically performs parking operations in parallel or perpendicular parking spaces. The Maneuver Assistant provides you with even more comprehensive support: It automatically takes over the complete driving task for up to 10 stored maneuvering routes, including accelerating, braking, steering and switching between forward and reverse gear. Please note: To perform a parking operation from outside your BMW using the My BMW App, you must be within 19 feet of your vehicle. You remain responsible for constantly monitoring traffic during automated parking and maneuvering and must be able to intervene at any time.

Your BMW and your smartphone must support data transfer of the BMW Digital Key Plus via "ultra-wideband" (UWB):

 

Compatible BMW models:

Available for BMW models with BMW Operating System 8 (service pack 2021), BMW Operating System 8.5 or BMW Operating System 9 with the "Parking Assistant Professional" as option from factory.

 

Compatible smartphones:

Available for iPhone with iOS 15+ or newer and Android smartphones with Android 13.1 or newer. You need the latest version of the My BMW App on your smartphone and Bluetooth® must be activated. You must be within 6 meters of your vehicle.
