When driving at low speeds, the system will scan for parking spaces. Simply press the parking assistant button in the center console to enter parking view. Parking spaces are recognized once you have passed them completely. Select a parking maneuver on the parking display or remotely using the My BMW App. It suggests parking spaces and maneuvers; tap on the control display to select one and start the automatic parking assistant.
To complete parking using remote control parking, such as in the narrow parking spot, perform the following steps:
- Push the brake pedal.
- Engage the parking brake.
- Select “Parking with My BMW App.”
- Get out of the vehicle.
- Open the My BMW App.
- Click on “Remote Control Parking.”
- Select your parking maneuver and the parking direction. To confirm that you want to use the remote control feature, tilt your phone forward and backward to position the slider into the target.
- Press and hold the blue parking button.
To stop the car, simply let go of the blue button; press and hold again to resume. The My BMW App tells you when the car has reached its final parking position. Tap finish, switch off the car, and lock it.
