Why is BMW offering the ChargeForward Carbon Dividend program?

BMW is offering its EV drivers a chance to make a difference and earn money. All you need to do is set your departure time and we will charge your vehicle during the grid’s cleanest times.

ChargeForward was previously piloted in California in partnership with the PG&E. BMW teamed up with UC Berkeley's Transportation Sustainability Research Center to evaluate and report results and have made the findings available to everyone.

Over the last several years, a growing number of energy companies have decided to join us with a more sustainable approach to EV charging. As ChargeForward continues to grow, we have expanded the program offering throughout the US—all US states are eligible, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories.
