How do I activate the automatic unlocking of the doors of my BMW with BMW Operating System 8, BMW Operating System 8.5, or BMW Operating System 9 at the end of the trip?

To automatically unlock the doors again after turning off the drive-ready state, select the following in BMW iDrive.

 

Depending on which BMW Operating System your vehicle has, perform the following steps:

 

BMW Operating System 8:

  1. Apps menu
  2. "Vehicle apps"
  3. "Doors and windows"
  4. "Lock/unlock"
  5. Select the desired setting:
  6. ▷ "Unlock doors at end of trip"
  7. ▷ "Unlock doors when in P" 

 

BMW Operating System 8.5:

  1. Apps menu
  2. "Vehicle"
  3. "Doors and windows"
  4. "Lock/Unlock"
  5. "Unlock doors at end of journey". 

 

BMW Operating System 9:

  1. Apps menu
  2. "Vehicle"
  3. "Doors and windows"
  4. "Lock/Unlock"
  5. "Unlock doors at end of trip"
