Is the pre-conditioning of my BMW electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle comparable to the pre-heating of a vehicle with combustion engine?

The heater output of the pre-conditioning of your BMW electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle is not equivalent to the pre-heating of a vehicle with combustion engine. While the pre-conditioning can both heat up and cool, the pre-heating can only heat up but not cool.
