What can I do if I have locked myself out of my BMW?

If you have locked yourself out of your BMW, first check whether all doors are really closed. If the vehicle is fully locked, it may be unlocked via the My BMW App. In the Remote Services section, click the “Unlock”  icon. To request a vehicle unlock, please call BMW Assist at 1-888-333-6118. You will be asked a set of security questions to verify your identity. 

 

If neither option is possible, you can use the second key to unlock the vehicle.  If this is not available, a spare key must be ordered from your local BMW Center.
