Can I turn off the tilt alarm and interior motion sensor in my BMW?

Yes. To deactivate the tilt alarm and the interior motion sensor of your BMW, press the lock button on the vehicle key within 30 seconds after locking the vehicle.

The anti-theft alarm LED stays on continuously for approximately 2 seconds and then continues briefly flashing every 2 seconds.

The tilt alarm sensor and interior motion sensor are switched off until the vehicle is locked again.

 

The key has a specified range and does not need to be pointed directly at the vehicle.
