How do I track the status of my new BMW vehicle order with the My BMW App?

Once production begins, you can track your new BMW vehicle production status via the My BMW App. As long as your order is associated with the email address linked to your BMW ID, your order will automatically be loaded into the My BMW App. 

 

Perform the following steps to view the status of your BMW vehicle order.

  1. Log in to the My BMW App
  2. Select the My Garage vehicle icon in the top right corner
  3. Select vehicle 
  4. Select "Track my BMW" 

If you need to add the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), perform the following steps.

  1. Log in to the My BMW App
  2. Select the My Garage vehicle icon in the top right corner
  3. Select "Add Vehicle"
  4. The message "Have you already receive the keys to your new vehicle?" will appear. Choose "No, not yet"
  5. Select "Get Started"
  6. Enter your VIN
  7. Select "Proceed"
  8. Scroll down to "In Delivery" header, and select "Track my BMW"

You will be able to track through the 16 events below.

  1. Order received – Your order has been received, and we’re making space in the production schedule.
  2. Scheduled for production – The factory has scheduled production of your unique BMW.
  3. Production begins – Today’s the day:  your BMW has entered the production queue.
  4. Exterior body assembly begins – Your BMW is taking shape.  Exterior body construction has begun.
  5. In the paint booth – Your BMW is ready to show its true colors in the paint shop.
  6. Entering assembly line – On to the assembly line, where your BMW really starts to come together.
  7. Assembly in progress – Your BMW is being assembled.
  8. Quality check – We’re doing our last checks to make sure your BMW is just right.
  9. Final assembly – Putting on the finishing touches that make every BMW special.
  10. Ready for transport – Your BMW is being prepared for transport.
  11. Awaiting carrier assignment – A carrier has been assigned to take care of your BMW.
  12. Dispatched from factory – Your new BMW has left the factory, and is on its way to you.
  13. At the port – Your BMW has arrived at the port.
  14. In transit – Your BMW is in transit.  It won’t be long now.
  15. At the dealership – It’s so close – your BMW has arrived at your BMW Center.
  16. Vehicle delivered – Your BMW is home.
