Can I set the start time for installation of a BMW Remote Software Upgrade?

In your BMW with BMW Operating System 8 or newer, you can start a loaded Remote Software Upgrade immediately or set a start time for installation. A later start time is useful, for example, if an immediate installation is not possible due to the engine overheating or the battery charge state being too low. To set a start time for installation, tap on the notice of an available Remote Software Upgrade on the goodbye screen of the control display after the completion of the trip and follow the further instructions for installation.

Alternatively, you perform the following in the app to adjust the time of installation: 

1. "Vehicle" (tab)
2. "Check Status"
3. Software 
4. "Remote Software Upgrade"
5. "Adjust"
6. "Installation time" (Software update settings section)
7. "Adjust" (select time preference)
