Is a new Remote Software Upgrade for my BMW automatically downloaded to my smartphone via the My BMW App?

If a Remote Software Upgrade is available, you will receive a notification in the My BMW App. To download an available Remote Software Upgrade to your smartphone, select the following in the My BMW App: "Vehicle" (tab) > "Check status" > "Remote Software Upgrade" ("Software" section). To automatically download available Remote Software Upgrades to your smartphone, select: "Vehicle" (tab) > "Vehicle configuration" (Vehicle control center) > "Software update settings".
