You cannot restart the charging session for your BMW electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle in the My BMW App after charging has been interrupted. In the event of an unplanned charging interruption, e.g., due to a technical problem with the charging station, your vehicle will attempt to restart the charging session automatically. In your BMW electric vehicle with BMW Operating System 8 or newer, you can start an AC charging session in the My BMW App that you previously stopped in the My BMW App.
To start a new charging session after an interruption, unplug and re-plug in your vehicle and authenticate a new charging session via your My BMW App.
