How do I add my BMW to my BMW ID in the My BMW App?

Perform the following steps to add vehicle to your My BMW App.

  • Open the My BMW App
  • Click the Vehicles icon in the top right corner
  • Select "Add vehicle"
  • Answer the question prompt: "Have you already received the keys to your new vehicle"
    • "Yes, I have received them." or "No, not yet."
  • Follow the instructions of the My BMW App.

Your BMW with BMW Operating System 8 or newer will be automatically added in the My BMW App when you log in to the vehicle with your BMW ID. 

 
 
You can also link your BMW to your BMW ID via a QR code in the vehicle.

  • "All Apps"
  • "BMW ID"
  • "Add BMW ID" / "Register BMW ID"
  • "Log in with My BMW App"
  • Scan the QR code with your mobile device.
    Your vehicle will be automatically added to your garage.
