How long does an automatic update of the navigation map take in my BMW?

The duration of the update depends on the data transfer rate and the size of the navigation map. Depending on the region, the navigation map can be several hundred megabytes in size. Updating the navigation map in your BMW can therefore take several hours. You can use the navigation system without restrictions during the update or leave your BMW. The update is interrupted when you lock your BMW and resumes automatically on your next trip.
