How do I save an activation point for the panorama view in my vehicle with BMW Operating System 7 and newer?

In vehicles with BMW Operating System 7 or newer, you can save up to ten positions as activation points at which panorama view should turn on automatically. Panorama view enables an early view on cross traffic, e.g., in the case of confusing exits and intersections.

Depending on which BMW Operating System your vehicle is equipped with, perform the following on the center console to save an activation point: 

BMW Operating System 7
    1. Drive to the position at which the system is to be switched on, and stop.
    2. Press the "Panorama View" button.
    3. Tilt the Controller to the right.
    4. "Activation point" - The current position is displayed.
    5. "Save activation point"

Activation points are stored with one of the following pieces of information if possible:
    - With the city/town.
    - With the city/town and the street.
    - With the GPS coordinates.

BMW Operating System 8
    1. Drive your vehicle to the location where you want the system to turn on, then stop.
    2. Press the "Panorama View" button.
    3. "Activation point" - The current position is displayed.
    4. "Save activation point"

Activation points are stored with one of the following pieces of information if possible:
    - With the city/town.
    - With the city/town and the street.
    - With the GPS coordinates.

    1. Drive your vehicle to the location where you want the system to turn on, then stop.
    2. Press the "Park Assist" button on the center console. 
    3. Press the "Panorama View" button.
    4. "Activation point" - The current position is displayed.
    5. "Save activation point"

Activation points are saved with the following information, for example:
    - With the city/town.
    - With the city/town and the street.
    - With the GPS coordinates.

You can rename the location and street information created automatically.

BMW Operating System 9
    1. Drive your vehicle to the location where you want panorama view to switch on automatically, then stop.
    2. Press the Park Assist key on the center console.
    Parking assistance systems displays are shown on the control display.

    3. Go through the menu as follows: "Panorama view" / "Activation point" / "Save activation point".

Activation points are saved with the following information, for example:
    - With the city/town.
    - With the city/town and the street.
    - A default name.

You can rename the location and street information created automatically.
