How do I activate the automated window opener in my BMW with BMW iDrive Operating System 7?

The Intelligent Personal Assistant in your BMW with BMW iDrive Operating System 7 can automate habits such as automatically opening windows in the same place. GPS data, among other things, is used for this function. The GPS data can then be used to create rules for the position at which a power window should open automatically, for example. 

 

Perform the following to automatically open the windows at a specific location:

  1. CAR
  2. "Settings"
  3. "General Settings"
  4. "Personal Assistant"
  5. Automate Habits

For future trips, the window will automatically open at the specified activation point. For security reasons, you must always close the window manually.

 

Please note: You must be logged in with your driver profile (BMW ID) and the automated window opener is only available at speeds up to 6 mph.
