How do I establish a new BMW ConnectedDrive Account as a Primary Subscriber/User?

  1. You can set up a new account via several methods.
    1. In the My BMW App:  Select "Register" on the login page. 
    2. In the My BMW portal: Go to http://www.mybmw.com and select "Register". 
    3. In your BMW (Operating System 7 or newer): On the welcome screen, select "Log in now with BMW ID" > "Register now," or in iDrive, select "BMW ID" (top right profile icon) > "Register now". 
  2. Complete the registration: Provide your personal information, email, and password, and confirm your registration. 
  3. Activate your BMW ID: You'll receive an email with a link to activate your account. 
  4. Link your vehicle using My BMW App: Follow the in-app instructions to add your vehicle using the My BMW App, which may involve entering your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). You can also follow the steps highlighted in this video.
  5. Authorize the account on the car: This might involve scanning a QR code displayed in your vehicle to add your BMW ID to the vehicle.
