To add your vehicle to your account and to compete your enrollment in the ChargeForward program, please follow the below steps:
- Log into your BMW account at mybmw.bmwusa.com.
- Go to the “My Garage” tab and click “Add Vehicle”.
- Enter your VIN, click “Next” and click “Add Vehicle".
- Follow the instructions step by step:

- You will need access to your vehicle to read out a security code in a "BMW message" and confirm it in the My BMW App within 3 hours.
- Depending on the production date of your BMW, you will find the message in the "ConnectedDrive" > "Messages" menu or in the "Apps" > "BMW Messages" menu.
- Now the vehicle should appear in your “My Garage”.
- Select “Login” at bmwchargeforward.com.
- Ensure your vehicle is listed in the My Vehicles tab:

- If necessary, set your newly added vehicle as your Primary Vehicle,
- If necessary, set a default departure time.
- Now you should see a “You're all set!” message with the vehicle and departure time displayed.

Important note: Participants must have an active ConnectedDrive services account on the vehicle they are adding in order for smart charging to successfully occur.
