How can I make calls with the Personal eSIM in my 2023 BMW 7 Series?

Personal eSIM is a digital SIM card that is permanently installed in the vehicle. The Personal eSIM enables making phone calls or the use of mobile data regardless of whether there is a mobile phone in the vehicle.

 

There does not need to be a mobile phone in the vehicle. Telephone functions are performed directly via the Personal eSIM. This improves call quality by using the vehicle's cell phone antennas. 

 

By pairing the desired mobile phone, its contacts can be used in the vehicle.

 

To pair a mobile phone to Personal eSIM:

  1. Apps menu
  2. "All apps"
  3. Mobile devices"
  4. "Personal eSIM"
  5. Activate eSIM telephone function: "Telephone via eSIM"
  6. "Link telephone"
  7. Pair the desired telephone.
