On most vehicles Model Year 2017 and newer, Remote Services and TeleServices are available for as long as technically capable as long as a vehicle is mapped to your BMW ID. BMW Assist eCall, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and BMW Digital Key / BMW Digital Key Plus are available as long as technically capable.
Additional services are available either from the factory or through a renewal of ConnectedDrive Services. Please refer to the Service Availability Matrix for more information and visit My Garage to confirm which ConnectedDrive services are active or can be purchased and activated on your vehicle.
Some additional examples of functions that are available only with an active subscription include:
- Smart interior functions, such as the ability to set an outside temperature threshold upon which heated steering wheel/heated seats are activated (i.e., Climate Control Rules)
- Additional My Modes
- Intelligent Personal Assistant
- Connected Charging (i.e., optimized route planning and detailed information on public charging stations)
- Connected Music (i.e., have your whole Spotify catalog in your BMW for the ultimate driving soundtrack. Additional Spotify subscription required.)

- Welcome Light Animation
- 3rd Party Apps (Operating System 9 – requires active BMW Digital Premium subscription)
- Satellite Image Maps (Operating System 9 – requires active BMW Digital Premium subscription)
