Why doesn't the rear automatic climate control of my BMW work?

The rear automatic climate control is not ready for operation if the automatic climate control is switched off or if the function for defrosting the windows and removing condensation is active.

 

To switch climate control functions on/off using iDrive:

  1. "CAR"
  2. "Settings"
  3. "Climate control"
  4. "Heating/ventilation"
  5. "Second row of seats"
  6. "Activate heating/cooling"

 

Switching on using the button:

Press one of the following buttons:

▷ Temperature.

▷ AUTO program.

▷ Air distribution, manual 

 

Switching off using the button:

Press the "OFF" button.
