With the "SYNC" button, you can adjust the climate settings in your BMW, such as temperature, air flow, air distribution and AUTO program for the driver and front passenger positions. Depending on the equipment of your BMW, you can also synchronize the settings in the rear with this function.
If the SYNC program is deactivated, the following settings are made automatically in the automatic program depending on the seat occupancy:
- If the front passenger's seat is not occupied, the settings on the driver's side are applied.
- If the seats in the rear are unoccupied, the default settings are applied.
In Operating System 8 and newer:
Perform the following in the iDrive menu to turn the SYNC program on/off:
- Tap the icon for the Climate menu on the menu bar.
- Tap the SYNC program button.
If the settings on the front passenger side or in the rear are changed, the program is automatically switched off.
In Operating System 7:
Perform the following in the iDrive menu to turn the SYNC program on/off:
- "CAR"
- "Settings"
- "Climate control"
- "Synchronize"
The program is switched off automatically if the settings on the front passenger side are changed.
