What happens when I use Valet Parking Mode? What restrictions are placed in the vehicle?

For vehicles equipped with BMW Operating System 7, BMW Operating System 8/8.5, Valet Parking Mode can be used when the vehicle is handed over for valet parking. 

 

Valet Parking Mode has the following restrictions:

  • Vehicle settings cannot be changed via iDrive.
  • Settings stored to a BMW ID or guest profile cannot be changed.
  • Personal data cannot be displayed.
  • The audio system is muted, with the possible volume of the audio system being limited.
  • The integrated Universal Remote Control is deactivated.
  • The availability of certain settings of the driving modes is limited.
