Using the map, how do I activate, deactivate or repeat voice guidance in my BMW with Operating System 7 and newer?

If destination guidance is active, voice guidance may be given for the respective maneuvers. Turn the volume control button during voice guidance until the desired volume is set.


Perform the following on the iDrive screen to activate/deactivate voice guidance:

 

In BMW Operating System 9
    1. Go to the Navigation menu.
    2. Select the settings icon.
    3. “Voice guidance”
    4. Select the desired setting.


In BMW Operating System 8.5 
    1. Navigation menu
    2. "Select the volume icon"

Repeating voice guidance
- Turn the voice guidance off and on again to repeat the voice guidance.


In BMW Operating System 8
    1. Navigation menu
    2. "Spoken instruction"

 

Repeating voice guidance
    - Turn the voice guidance off and on again to repeat the voice guidance.
    

In BMW iDrive Operating System 7
    1. Press the button on the Controller.
    2. Tilt the Controller to the right.
    3. "Voice guidance"

 

Repeating voice guidance
Inside of the map view:
    - Press the button on the Controller.

Outside of the map view:
    - Press the button twice.
