What are some tips for sharing my BMW Digital Key?

You can share your BMW Digital Key with other users

1. Open the wallet app on your smartphone
2. Click on the digital key and press the sharing symbol
3. Choose how you want to share your BMW digital key, any messaging app will work
4. You have the option to restrict the key. For example, for young drivers.
5. Next, choose a receiving contact and press send
6. The shown activation code is necessary for security reasons. For added security, use a different messaging app to send this activation code to your contact

As a receiver:

1. Click on the link to add the shared digital key to your smartphone wallet and continue
2. Now you will be able to unlock the vehicle

To fully activate the key:

1. Go to "Apps"
2. "Keys"
3. "Digital key"
4. "Activate smartphone"
5. Type in the received code to activate your shared digital key
6. Alternatively, the shred key can be activated in the presence of another activated digital key or physical key
