Why did I not receive a discounted rate with my Tesla Supercharging Membership when I used a Tesla charger and Plug & Charge to charge my BMW?

As BMW NA is not a partner of Tesla's membership plan, users that initiate a charging session through the My BMW App or Plug & Charge (connected through their Shell Recharge account) are not eligible to receive the Tesla Supercharging Membership discounted rate.

 

Users must initiate a charging session through the Tesla Charging App to receive the Tesla Supercharging Membership discounted rate. BMW NA will not offer pro-rated refunds as a result of the initiated session.
