How do I start a charge at a Magic Dock equipped station?

Magic Dock chargers are Tesla Superchargers equipped with a CCS connector, allowing direct charging without an adapter. To initiate charging, you can use your My BMW App or Plug & Charge. To use the Magic Dock:

  • Press and hold the button on the charger handle for 2 seconds
  • Press the handle into the dock and then pull it out to release the adapter.
  • Connect to the vehicle. If your vehicle has Plug & Charge, charging will automatically start.
  • If your vehicle doesn’t have Plug & Charge, you can always use Charge Here in the My BMW app to select and start a charge, just like any other BMW Charging Network provider.
