How was I sold a vehicle after Recall 24V-104: Integrated Brake System (IB) was issued in February 2024?

Recall 24V-104 Integrated Brake System (IB) was expanded and reported to NHTSA on August 12, 2024 to include additional BMW vehicles.  Federal law prohibits the sale of new vehicles with open recalls.

 

Note:  Recalls are VIN-specific, and you can find the latest info for your vehicle at bmwusa.com/recall or NHTSA.gov and entering 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number.  To ensure that BMW has up-to-date owner contact information, owners should register their vehicles at MyBMW.com. Registration is free and allows access to information about their specific vehicle.
