What is NACS, and how does it relate to BMW Charging?

NACS stands for North American Charging Standard, Tesla’s proprietary charging connector designed to provide fast and reliable access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. Starting in late 2025, new BMW models will come factory-equipped with a built-in NACS port. For existing BMW models with CCS ports, charging at NACS stations will be possible using the Lectron NACS to CCS DC adapter. Charging networks such as IONNA, EVgo, and ChargePoint are beginning to support NACS connectors, further expanding charging options.
