How do I use the Parking Assistant in my vehicle equipped with BMW Operating System 8?

The parking maneuver assist in BMW Operating System 8 can park your vehicle automatically for you. The system can take over accelerating, braking, and steering to maneuver into all different types of parking situations.

 

When you drive by parked vehicles at low speeds, the system begins scanning for potential parking spots. Simply press the parking assistant button to   begin the process. Parking spaces are only recognized by the assistant once passed completely by the BMW, and your BMW will begin to recommend parking spots and best methods for parking. 
 

By following the displayed instructions, your BMW Parking Assistant will begin to take control. This system is also activated using voice commands. The Parking Assistant can also pull your BMW out of a parking spot.
