How do I set up and use Efficiency Trainer in BMW Operating System 8?

This feature adapts to your use of the pedals in traffic situations when you drive in the "Efficient Mode" in BMW's Operating System 8.

 

Press the "My Modes" switch in the center console and select Efficient. Or simply tell your BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant: ”Hey BMW - switch to Efficient Mode.” Now your BMW will regulate energy consumption to maximize your driving range by automatically adjusting certain settings.

 

Your ePower meter in the instrument cluster display shows a blue highlight. Use the pedal modestly to stay in this efficient range of acceleration. A blue glow indicates that you are doing fine. If you speed up too powerfully, the highlights and displays turn grey. Also an arrow tips you off to ease the accelerator.

 

When “Adaptive content” is activated and you are in Efficient Mode, you get an evaluation of your driving efficiency since the start of your journey with scores out of ten for anticipation, acceleration and speed.
