How do I set favorite buttons in my BMW with BMW iDrive Operating System 7?

The favorites buttons in your BMW are there to quickly access operating system or iDrive Functions. This could include navigation functionality, access to important contacts, radio/media sources, or important menus in the iDrive menu.

 

For vehicles equipped with BMW iDrive Operating System 7, to save a function to your favorites, first select it. Then, press and hold the desired button and wait for the signal sound. When you touch the favorites button, it will display at the top of the screen. 

 

The favorites buttons can be overwritten at any time, just repeat the previous process while the new desired function is active. 

To remove all favorites, simply press the 1 button & 8 button and follow the on-screen prompt.
