How do I configure the instrument cluster of BMW iDrive with BMW Operating System 8?

With BMW Operating System 8, you can individualize the display elements on the interactive touchscreen and the optional head-up display. 

 

Press the display button located on the right of the steering wheel to begin the customization process. By spinning the appropriate wheel next to the display button, you're able to sort through different options to personalize your display. This includes key information for your vehicle and what matters most to you, and the ability to change the visual settings for the head-up display.
