How do I turn on, off, and adjust the Fatigue Alert break recommendation in my BMW?

The Fatigue Alert break recommendation feature in your BMW will recommend that you take a break if it detects a change in your previous driving behavior. If the current driving behavior becomes less alert or fatigued, a message is displayed in the control display with the recommendation to take a break. 

 

Perform the following in the iDrive menu to turn on, off and adjust the break recommendation:

 

BMW iDrive Operating System 7:

  1. "CAR"
  2. "Settings"
  3. "General settings"
  4. "Fatigue and Focus Alert"
  5. Select the desired setting.

 

 

BMW Operating System 8 and newer:

  1. Apps menu
  2. "Vehicle"
  3. "Driving settings"
  4. "Driver Assistance"
  5. "Safety and warnings"
  6. "Fatigue Alert"
  7. Select the desired setting
