The optimized charging route option automatically suggests charging stops for your trip. Details about charging stations are displayed including estimated charging time and charging power of the station.
- To get started, enter your destination by touching the touch screen or through speech. You receive an overview of different routes with ideal charging stops based on the current traffic, availability of charging station, the charging power of the station, and the estimated charging time.
- Choose your preferred route with charging stops.
- Then scroll and select Route Criteria.
- Under Charging Route set the minimum battery charge with which you want to arrive at a charging station and your destination.
- For example, set it to 20% if you need range while at your destination.
- Choose if you prefer stations supported by BMW charging or your own preferences managed by your My BMW app.
- The charging route will recalculate based on your selected preferences.
- You can click on your charging stop in the overview to exclude the selected charging station, or go back to reinclude them all or one by one.
