With the Sport Boost function, all relevant systems of your BMW electric or hybrid vehicle are immediately set to maximum sportiness. The Sport Boost function is operated with the shift paddles on the steering wheel.
Perform the following to activate or deactivate the Sport Boost function:
- Pull the left-hand shift paddle on the steering wheel marked "BOOST" in your BMW electric vehicle and pull it longer in your BMW hybrid vehicle. The boost power is then available for 10 seconds. The Sport Boost function is indicated by its own inscription in the instrument cluster.
- Before the countdown changes to 0, press the accelerator pedal. The vehicle accelerates and uses the additional power provided as necessary. Boost will appear in the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster shows how long the additional power is available.
Please note: In BMW vehicles with mild hybrid technology, the range of functions of the Sport Boost function varies.
The countdown can be restarted, for example if the function cannot be used immediately. To restart the countdown, pull and hold the left shift paddle again until the countdown is reset.
To stop the function: The function is automatically interrupted if the countdown has reached 0 or if the function was used in the acceleration process.
To deactivate the function: Pull and hold the right shift paddle until this display goes out.
