With BMW Navigation, how can I activate or deactivate learning map in my vehicle with BMW Operating System 7 or newer?

The learning map optimizes the data on the digital map. Data such as speed or position is stored in the vehicle in an anonymized state and transmitted to the manufacturer in order to improve the digital map.

 

Perform the following in the iDrive menu to activate or deactivate learning map:

 

BMW Operating System 9:

  1. Apps menu
  2. "All"
  3. "Data privacy".
  4. Select the desired setting.

 

BMW Operating System 8/8.5:

  1. Select Navigation menu
  2. "Settings"
  3. "Configure services"
  4. Depending on the equipment:
  5. "Learning map"
  6. "Online navigation"

 

BMW iDrive 7:

  1. Press the button on the Controller.
  2. Tilt the Controller to the right.
  3. "Settings"
  4. "Configure services"
  5. "Learning map"
