What is Battery Hold, and how do I turn it on in my 2025 BMW X5 xDrive50e?

Battery Hold is a driving mode used to maintain the high-voltage battery's current charge. The electric range can be conserved in this way for a later point in the trip, for instance.

To turn the function on, press the 'Battery Hold' button (button with battery icon) on the center console. The LED in the button illuminates.
