How do I turn the car wash view on or off in my vehicle?

The car wash view assists you when driving into car washes. You can use the display to position your vehicle correctly in the guide rails of the car wash.

Depending on the BMW Operating System in your vehicle, perform the following steps to reset the BMW Digital Key function.

 

In BMW Operating System 7, the car wash view can be selected using the left toolbar to display your own lane, making it easier to operate your BMW through the car wash.

 

In BMW Operating System 8, you can access the car wash view by pressing the Parking Assistant button and then selecting "car wash".

 

In BMW Operating System 8.5 and BMW Operating System 9, you can perform the following on the center console to turn the car wash view on or off:

  1. Press the Park Assistance button.
  2. Select "More"
  3. Select "Car wash view"

To exit the car wash view, select a different camera view in the left toolbar.

Your own lane is displayed for easier driving into a car wash. This view can be used to position the vehicle correctly within the washing system guide rails.

In a car wash, the vehicle must be able to roll freely forward.
