Charging at Tesla Superchargers through BMW’s integration will follow Tesla’s standard pricing model. You do not need a separate Tesla membership; billing and payment will be handled seamlessly through your BMW Shell Recharge account once set up. All billed charges will appear under “Charge History” in your Shell Recharge Account Center in the My BMW app. Pricing at Superchargers may vary depending on location, time of day, and demand.
Important: Many Tesla Superchargers are subjected to Congestion Fees. For these stations, if you reach over 80% state of charge while the station is more than 90% occupied, Tesla may charge you a per-minute fee if you continue charging beyond 80%. The congestion fee encourages drivers to charge only as much as is needed for their trip, rather than all the way to 100%. There is a five-minute grace period to disconnect your vehicle and leave before congestion fees apply.
