I just purchased a BMW ConnectedDrive Upgrade, but it has not installed in my vehicle after some time. What do I do next, and who can help me?

For issues with your BMW ConnectedDrive Upgrade installation, contact ConnectedDrive Customer Care at customercare@bmwassist.com  before you go visit your BMW Center. Please include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Vehicle’s VIN
  • BMW ID Associated to vehicle (i.e., the BMW ID with which you made the purchase of the ConnectedDrive Upgrade)
  • Issue description. Please include any pics/screenshots to help demonstrate the issue.
  • Please confirm whether you have driven the vehicle for at least 30 minutes continuously after purchasing the feature.


Most issues can be resolved quickly and remotely without a  trip to your BMW Center. We can review your specific circumstances and provide you with the best possible path to fix your problem, including:

  • Payment issues
  • Possible back-end connection issues
  • Simple troubleshooting steps you can perform at home

However, if we are unable to address your issue, we will advise you that a visit to a BMW Center may be necessary.

 

For some vehicles, additional costs may be incurred before a ConnectedDrive Upgrade can be installed, such as a new vehicle battery, vehicle software upgrade, etc. For more information, see Will I incur any costs other than the cost of the ConnectedDrive Upgrade?
