How do I change the clock time?

Depending on which BMW Operating System your vehicle has, perform the following steps.

 

BMW Operating System 9

Ensure you are signed into your BMW ID and update apps and services. You must be fully logged in with you BMW ID in the vehicle and using the My BMW App with the terms and conditions accepted in order to set the time.

 

Depending on vehicle equipment, the time zone can be set manually or automatically. Automatic time zone adjustment automatically updates the time, the date, and the time zone as necessary.

 

The date is set automatically based on the time zone.

  1.  Apps menu 
  2.  "Vehicle" 
  3.  "System settings" 
  4.  "Time".

Select the desired setting.


BMW Operating System 8.0 /8.5

Various settings can be applied for the date and time display such as the date format.

 

Depending on vehicle equipment, the time zone can be set and automatic time setting can be activated. With automatic time setting, the time, date, and, if necessary, the time zone are updated automatically. 

  1. "Apps" menu
  2. "Vehicle apps"
  3. "System settings"
  4. "Date and time"
  5. Select the desired settings.

 

BMW Operating System iDrive 7.0

  1. "CAR"
  2. "Settings"
  3. "General settings"
  4. "Date and time"
  5. "Time:"
  6. Turn the Controller until the desired hours are displayed.
  7. Press the Controller.
  8. Turn the Controller until the desired minutes are displayed.
  9. "OK"

 

iDrive 6.0

  1. "My Vehicle"
  2. "iDrive settings"
  3. "Date and time"
  4. "Time:"
  5. Turn the Controller until the desired hours are displayed.
  6. Press the Controller.
  7. Turn the Controller until the desired minutes are displayed.
  8. Press the Controller.

 

iDrive 5.0

  1. "My Vehicle"
  2. "System settings"
  3. "Date and time"
  4. "Time:"
  5. Turn the Controller until the desired hours are displayed.
  6. Press the Controller.
  7. Turn the Controller until the desired minutes are displayed.
  8. Press the Controller.
