What are the benefits of using a BMW ID for BMW iDrive?

By using a BMW ID in your vehicle with BMW Operating System 7 or newer, you unlock full functionality and customization of your vehicle. 

 

When setting up a BMW ID, you can link BMW ID to your physical or digital vehicle key and benefit from it when entering your BMW. You'll be personally greeted by your BMW, and all specific seat settings will be enabled. You can set a profile picture from the connected My BMW App. Your BMW ID also enables additional comforts including your specific widget setup on the interactive display, recommendations, favorites, and more.
