Please ensure that the Auto Hold feature is not active by pressing the "AUTO H" button until the indicator light goes out. Also deactivate the rain sensor wiper feature by pressing the wiper lever back to the standard position.
In order to ensure that your BMW can roll in a vehicle wash, take the following steps:
- Switch on drive-ready state while pressing on the brake pedal.
- If necessary, release the parking brake and switch off Automatic Hold.
- Depress the brake pedal.
- Engage selector lever position N.
- Switch off drive-ready state. In this way, standby state remains switched on, and a Check Control message is displayed. The vehicle can roll.
In a car wash, your BMW must be able to roll freely. Some car washes do not permit persons in the vehicle. The vehicle cannot be locked from the outside when in selector lever position N. A signal sounds when an attempt is made to lock the vehicle.
