Activating Amazon Alexa Car Integration for vehicles equipped with BMW Operating System 8 or newer:
Amazon Alexa Car Integration is activated in the vehicle and My BMW app if necessary.
Follow the instructions from the Amazon Alexa app to set it up in the vehicle.

Select the desired setting.
After setting it up, use Amazon Alexa in the vehicle as follows:
Say the activation word "Alexa" and the desired command.
Information about the active function is displayed on the control display. If the function is restricted, reconnect Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as necessary.
For vehicles equipped with iDrive7:
In order to use Amazon Alexa Car Integration in your BMW, you must first log into your Drive Profile by following the below steps:
- Via iDrive: "CAR"
- "Driver profiles"
- Move the Controller to the right.
- As an alternative for Steps 1 to 3, the profile image can be tapped in the top status bar.
- "Add driver profile"
- An existing ConnectedDrive account must be assigned to a driver profile. The following options are available for this purpose:
- "Via BMW Connected App": Scanning the displayed QR code will accept the access data for the ConnectedDrive account from the BMW ConnectedDrive app.
- "Log in": The access data must be entered via iDrive.
- "New registration": If a ConnectedDrive account does not yet exist, it can be created via iDrive.

- "Personal Assistant"
- "Voice Control"
- Activate "Online speech processing"
- Activate "Third-party providers"
- "Activation word": Voice control is activated by saying "Alexa" without having to use the push-to-talk button.
To use the Amazon Alexa app on your mobile device via BMW iDrive, you have to allow the connection by following the below steps:
- "COM"
- "Mobile devices"
- Select your device
- "Allow connections": The Amazon Alexa app on your mobile device can be used via voice control and BMW iDrive.
