After completing a Remote Software Upgrade in your vehicle, the iDrive will reset to factory settings. You will need to update your settings to reactivate Drive Recorder by performing the following steps.
iDrive 7:
- Via iDrive: "Apps"
- "Drive Recorder"
- Accept Privacy Policy.
- "Settings"
- "Recording allowed"
- Select the desired setting.
BMW Operating System 8/8.5:
- Via iDrive: "Apps"
- "Drive Recorder"
- Accept Privacy Policy.
- "Settings"
- "Recording allowed"
- Select the desired setting.
BMW Operating System 9:
- Via iDrive: Apps menu
- "Drive Recorder"
- Accept Privacy Policy.
- "Settings"
- "Allow recording"
- Select the desired setting.
