How do I activate or deactivate route calculation in my vehicle with BMW Operating System 7 and newer?

Depending on the equipment, routes are also transferred to the vehicle online. Information on traffic obstructions and traffic forecasts are taken into account for the calculation of online route suggestions.

For routes to be calculated online, the function must be activated in the Data Protection menu.

 

Depending on your BMW Operating System, perform the following steps.

BMW Operating System 8.5 & BMW Operating System 9

This setting activates or deactivates online routes and alternative online routes.

  1. Navigation menu
  2. If necessary, select the arrow icon.
  3. Select the icon.
  4. "Configure services"
  5. Depending on vehicle equipment and national-market version:
    • "Online route suggestions"
    • "Online navigation"
    • "Traffic information"
