What does it cost to install a Wallbox for my BMW electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle?

The costs for installing the BMW Wallbox (3rd generation) vary depending on your specific home situation and the certified electrician that you are using.

BMW offers an optional, premium installation service through our partner Qmerit. You have multiple ways to express your interest into this optional service:
a) via the Build your own configurator
b) via a convenient web portal (accessible via bmwusa.com, Web portal direct link: https://qmerit.com/ev/bmw/)

You can either use the web portal to generate a quick quote by going through a self-serve survey - if you decide that you need more assistance/guidance you can go through our premium concierge option – where a concierge will walk you through and explain those steps.

Based on the information, Qmerit will provide you with a specific quote for the installation of either your BMW Wall box (3rd generation), the NEMA 14-50 receptacle to use for the standard NEMA 14-50 adapter for the BMW Flexible Fast Charger or a swap service to upgrade an older existing charger you may have or swap from a Tesla to a BMW Wallbox.


You will then decide whether you would like to proceed with Qmerit for the installation.
