Some BMW electric vehicles indicate a reduced charging power in the control display during long-distance driving with frequent DC charging. DC charging is available without interruption when this message is present but will begin reducing charging power as state of charge of the vehicle increases. This message usually presents itself during long distance driving with frequent charging stops.
Please note: The charging power of your electric vehicle is influenced by the state of charge, the age and temperature of the high-voltage battery, the charging power or current strength, or whether the air conditioning is activated. Use the battery heat management for upcoming charging stops of your BMW. The battery heat management for optimized DC charging starts automatically when a DC charging station is entered as the navigation destination or by activating it in the "Charging" menu.
