My BMW electric vehicle displays the message "Charging power reduced. Extended charging time". Can I deactivate the reduction of the charging power?

If your BMW electric vehicle displays the message "Charging power reduced. Extended charging time", this temporary reduction cannot be deactivated.

 

Please note that DC charging is still available without interruption when this message is present but will begin reducing charging power as state of charge of the vehicle increases.
