My BMW electric vehicle displays the message "Charging power reduced. Extended charging time". Does reducing the charging power also change the set charging target?

If your BMW electric vehicle displays the message "Charging power reduced. Extended charging time", the charging target set in your vehicle remains unchanged.

 

Please note that DC charging is still available without interruption when this message is present but will begin reducing charging power as state of charge of the vehicle increases.
